May 14 Time: 10am-12:30 pm- Volunteers training meeting. Ms. Franklin will designate a captain for each event who will report to her.
June 4 - Time: 7-10 pm - Guess Who's Coming to Dinner fundraiser coordinated by Marion Marshall; designer tables created by invited designers and using the theme of the Harlem Renaissance.
Volunteers needed
9am-1 pm- Set-up; collection of visitor information;
10-11 pm- Break down.
June 12 Time: 7-9 pm- Gathering of Creativity- SAAC alumni reception
This is a food and beverage reception to acknowledge alumni of the Summer Arts at the Center Program. Some of the films created by alums and artwork will be on display. Some of the poetry will be performed.

Kids pavilion, entertainment stages, cook-off competition, Sam Cooke competition, outdoor film screening of Sam Cooke doc. art exhibition coordinated by SDCC staff, BCD, LOSF.

A recognition of artists and community leaders and SDCC managers who pioneered the South Dallas Cultural Center and maintained it. Champagne/wine toast with finger food.
